just showing up to post some new pictures.. most are pretty old, though.. sorry about that!

My uncles had travelled to the States like a month ago to go and visit one of my cousins. I gave her a shopping list of al the things I *need*. Yeah, it was a matter of live or death. So, my uncles, cousins and nephews came for some empanadas and we watched their hotos (well, half of them ¡ cuz it wasn't until like half of the trip that they bought the digital camera, and they hadn't developed the film-photos) it was fun.

So, here's the story.. Unfortunately the two finals I was taking were on March 5th and 6th.. can you imagine that? All right, Monday, grammar, shoot! I'm afraid; I hadn't done well the previous time. They ask me a silly question about ‘comment clauses’ that was in the eliminatory section. I'm holding the paper in my hands saying "Man, I know all the other things but if I don't do this part right all it's no worth, I won't pass anyway" So I'm waiting for some divine lightning happening in my head so that I can start making things up. Apparently I did all right! That day I came back for lunch with a beautiful signature in my grades book saying "6" (That is 70% of exercises were OK). I'm riding the bus home thinking.. well, one's down but still if I don't pass language two I won't be able to take any classes in third year (Language, grammar and phonetics must have been passed, I took Phntcs on November) come home, have a nap and then got down back to business. I can't describe how anxious and nervous I was, I thought that passing Language would be the worst pain in the butt 'cuz I know all this people that have sat for the exam like 4 or 5 times and never managed to suceed. So, here I am, sitting at my desk 9 am in the morning and the teachers come in. Topic to write the essay: relationships, well.. Agree/disagree with: deep emotional relationships bring about as much joy as misery.. OMG, I just couldn't believe it, how easy! As if I didn't know anything about this topic, right? The rest of the exam was very exhausting, just because it's so long! Second page was my weakness, word formation.. They gave me a number of sentences to fill in the gaps and I had to transform the words given in a box into another grammatical feature.. From a verb to an adjective, bla bla.. AND I SUCK AT IT! I only got a passing mark in that exercise. Page three was about the beloved phrasal verbs that I knew just out of common sense.. I had a really long list to study from, still I always followed my guts when I didn't know whether it was pull/out/over/out/in whatever... Fourth page was the listening which was fine and page five was for external students; a paragraph to write about the enforcement of the death penalty. All right, here's a problem. The unit about crime is the last one in the syllabus and we never got to deal with it. Also, I never paid any attention to it: when I went to that teacher for help and he developed the main outline, still I neither wrote an essay about it to practice nor read the articles.. How embarrassing! So, I need 180 words that support my ideas, I start writing and all the specific vocabulary starts popping in my head, how unbelievable is to remember that "judges aren't infallible" yeap, infallible.. Now I'll never forget that word.

Written part was over about 12pm, they tell us to come back at 7pm to see how we'd done and to set up a date for the oral part for the ones who passed. I just felt like s***, I came home and had a nap, woke up at 5, had tea and took off.. I never thought I'd pass. I get there and one teacher comes out with a list calling the ones that hadn't passed so that they could sign and leave, AND I WASN'T THERE! My gosh, at that time I felt that I ought to say that God's moved the scale on my side. My! Two days, two exams, two good grades.. I saw the exam which was so well and then came home 'cuz my oral exam was today 8.30am.. And my last name doesn’t help much ‘cuz they call in alphabetical order. I don’t sleep right and show up today. I’m given a card of the topic I must talk about, which is… CRIME! OMG, what are the chances! Still, I knew some fancy vocabulary to show off and I did well. I’ve come to realize that I start talking and I could be saying bs and they’d never tell ‘cuz they don’t pay attention and also ‘cuz they like my pronunciation.. Good for me!

In the end, what matters is that: I’m a third year student, which is something else. There’re a few classmates that started with me that haven’t fallen behind, so I’m sad about it but happy that I can keep up with school!

 

Pictures: First ones, today when I came home being done with exams.. Don’t I look just like a walking zombie? My! Then, Feb 19^th the day I failed grammar. The last, March 5^th the day I passed grammar.

 

Other news, I’ve signed up for French classes and I’m starting next Saturday, I’m very excited about it.. I can’t wait!

 

Today’s my sister’s birthday. She’s celebrating it at a Mexican Restaurant, so that’ll be fun for sure and I guess I’ll have new pictures to post!

This is Maya's new born baby brother. He was born on Jan 28th! Isn't he cute?

 

So, the story part II.. I really wanted to keep up with my new beautiful tan.. it was so gorgeous that I felt I should really help it up. I tried going to the pool, I tried lying in my backyard.. OMG, it's just torture.. I can't do it! The best thing that I could do to get a nice color was to wait at the bus stop and to sit on the side of the bus where there the sunlight came in!! Yesterday I started peeling off and today I got little blisters inmy back.. IT'S THE BEGGINING OF THE END! Seriously, I couldn't care less.. it was fun while it lasted..

 

uh, funny story I told everybody (how obnoxious can I be??) That very day after the pool I went to work and while I was there people looked at me as if there were them the sunburnt ones.. So my clients went and payed and the tellers asked them "did anybody help u today" and they all said "Oh, yeah.. that poor girl.. the one that sunbathed too much" and then it came the number of comments as "Poor thing", "Did she fall asleep?" and my personal favorite "I looked at her and felt awful, she must be in so much pain" hmm, love it! All my dearest, careful clients.. Screw them!

 

I'd love to post a new pic of my current white (caucasian :D) condition.. it's just that my sis' took the camera on her vacations.. hmmm.. I don't wanna be a jealous person but.. why is everybody on vacations but me?? I miss those!!! Well, I guess next year will be a better year for my travelling persues.. we'll see.

So, here is the story: Nat starts studuying for her finals on Wednesday and she really, really (I mean it) wanted to have a day off in the countryside, like going to the river. One of the girls from work started her vacations today and she and her boyfriend rented a house in a town called Mayu Sumaj which is cute.. and little! So another girl came with me and we took the kinda "greyhound" bus andoff we went! There are side stories like me wanting to puke everywhere.. but then it got alright. We hit the river 12pm sharp (nice timing, huh? Did I mention that the last time I had been to the river was Dec 2002 right before my prom?) so, could I care less about the sun hazards and stuff? I don't think so! The day was gorgeous and we took plenty of food.. we actually stayed until 5.30pm and hit the pool at their place.. After that, we had dinner and I started to feel shiverish and cold.. oh yeah, I had a fever! Too much sun for me! When we caught the bus at 9.30pm I felt like ass but after an hour and half nap in the bus I felt much better.. Still I do look like a combination of a tomato, a crab and more! jeez, it hurts!

 

So now I'm gonna go to bed and complain 'till I fall asleep, I missed it! Last time I had a tan was May 2004 in Cancun! Nop, not kidding!

I just wanted to get the pictures uploaded. New year's eve was fun.. We had dinner and then went upstairs to watch the fireworks from the terrace. We toasted and lighted "baloons" (it's like a big paper lamp) We actually set 3 up but two hit this neighbor's tree and caught fire, whoops!  Then, I went to Coty's house and hanged out, it was fun and quiet. I couldn't get a way to coming home afterwards so I "slept over" (actually went to bed by 5.45 and woke up at 9) and walked home.. yeah, Natalie in her mini skirt and silver high heels walking around the neighborhood: it was so hot and there wasn't enough tree shade that I sweated like hell. I came home and really went to bed 'cuz I woke up and it was 4.30pm. I had breakfast-lunch-tea all together and watched a crappy movie. Hope you enjoyed yours!

I have been working my ass off during the past days since I started working from 2-10pm.. stupid holidays

 

Today it was the best and worst.. I sold a lot of crap but some of the most interesting garments were 2 jeans that cost $350 each, and two pair of snikers that are $400 EACH.. how cheap!! So I did OK in sales; but it was so crowded, jeez! I can't take so much people together. I went to my break around 5.30pm and saw down the hallway so much people that they seemed like ants..

 

The rest, hum, I saw Silvi and Coty on my day off, which was Wednesday, and then on Friday night (with Silvi's friend, Bela, too) where we ate this kinda phillycheese steak (well, it's actually the buns, the beef, tomato, lettuce, ham, cheese and eggs.. oh, and french fries for side) So, those are the pictures I uploaded.

last night I went with gaby to Pablo's birthday.. he had 6 cakes!! yumm.. so I changed my hrs at work not to show up late.. still, I didn't leave it until 6pm and when I was coming home to change clothes it started to rain and hail.. jeez, whatta storm!! So, I actually left at 7.15pm to try to catch a bus bus it didn't come until 8.10pm.. I was so pissed off.. ayyy.. waiting a bus it's like waiting for the perfect man to come by. I got together with my friend downtown and took a cab.. so we actually made it around 9pm. We had dinner and cake but around 1am we started to see some ugly lightning and I decided to take off.. I made it home like 40mins later and the bus dropped me at the usual bus stop only that it was covered by a foot of water.. the main avenue was completely flooded.. I walked a few steps and then heard a loud horn and that was my dad.. I didn't have to walk those two streets, nice! Well, I was actually so ready to do it, I had pulled out my old green plastic gap flips.. I could have done it!

Today it rained and hailed again.. uhh, I'm gonna post a pic of how my frontyard looked like yesterday!! nah, not tonight, I forgot.. they're still in my camera..

The rest.. same old, same old.. working..

Oh, forgot to tell u.. I checked the space stats.. over 3500 people have visited it! I'm so proud!

Last night, my bosses and some of us got together for dinner at this new restaurant that opened right next to karmya.. food was good (was plenty!) and I'm not saying it wasn't fun but it was definetely bizarre.. Then, we went to the other party.. organized by the people from human resources. The theme was "wear sth white" could I care less??

 

I woke up at 2.15 and I had to be at work at 2. It's this new stupid desition my boss took (cuz otherwise I'd get in by 5) so, I'm going at 5.. LOL  The weather is very stormy and rainy.. I wish I could stay in bed today.. and it's actually a holiday here today, "Virgin Mary's day". All I know is that today it's traditionally the day to set up the Christmas tree.. whoops.. I don't know where the tree or the ornaments are! Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.. Take care people!

Hi there! Today I had to go to school to get my report card signed (evrytime I pass a class I have to do that, which is BTW annoying when you only have to go for that but in the end very conforting as you can cross another of those bitches off!) So, I got that done.. Theory and Practise of the Investigation is history and now I'm starting to get ready for my finals.. I got all my dates settled and this is how Nov-Dec is gonna work for me: 11/24 Phonetics, 11/29 Grammar and 12/11 Language II (I have Spanish II and Introduction of the Translation but that's gonna be either on February or I'm gonna take the class) So, that should be interesting as I'm working too.. I only have Mondays off and have the craziest schedule.. AGAIN! jeez, what's wrong with these people? So Sundays and Tuesdays I'm working from 4-10pm Wed and Thu from 5-10 and then Fri and Sats from 2-10pm.. I can't even remember all that! October was so easy.. I didn't get in until 5 and it was awesome, damn oncoming holidays! The hotel project is moving along and that might be finished in 2 months so I'm getting my resume ready to change sectors. Oh, I got my vacations assigned from February 19th to March 4th... I know, it does suck..

I wanted to post these pictures (and we're not drunk, I sewar!) from last Thursday when I got together with my classmates, I hadn't done that for like a year  so, there's Juli, Gaby and Pablo.

Hey everybody, today we're celebrating mother's day in Argentina (fun that it isn't in May, huh?) Well happy day to my mom and all of yours! I wanted to post this picture of my mom reading MY "Theory and practise of the investigation" booklet in the airport, after travelling so many miles 'cuz I had terms LOL, isn't she cute? I hope I pass that stupid class 'cuz I don't like them and she'll lose her patience eventually! Thanks though!

Today it's my doggies birthday too.. The funny fact is that he was born in mother's day 11 years ago. I remember that the day was as beautiful as today's and we went to my grandmom's for lunch and then came home. Then, my parents went to take a nap and I was hanging out with my older sister and decided that I wanted to rollerskate at 3pm (I bet my parents loved the idea!) so I went into my bedroom and there she was, my black dog called Diana having puppies!!! 11 years later he's still bugging us! poor old puppie!! Happy birthday

All right, they're yelling that ice-cream is here.. gotta go! They get mad at me 'cuz I always make them buy strawberry ice-cream for myself when nobody else likes it... ha ha ha... Bye!

Today all the family went and visited Manuel in the clinic and then came to the house for lunch and dinner. The kids turned out to be dynamite when they were together… jeez! But they had a lot of fun. Jonah even had enough time to start playing with the broken TV and I swear, I have no idea what he did.. but he fixed it!! (A technician checked the TV out and said it was dead!) so, that was fun..

The day was gorgeous outside; I think it’s been the nicest so far!!! So we stayed in the backyard for a while…

Welome everybody to the West Bloomfield Nursing Center where I spend many hours of my day. I bet u know who the people in the pics are... so I won't mention them!!! That couch on the back of the room should have my name on! It's mine!!! That's where I study, watch TV and nap... But today I felt like playing photographer for a while and started taking a bunch of pictures (I won't upload them all or u'll fall asleep) All right! Enjoy!

Well; hello, hello! It's been a while, huh? Could I be any lazier? Well, I haven't been doing much. Today was different though. There's this friend of the family that's a total wacko but nice and he took us downtown (so that we wouldn't leave without seeing the city). I'm telling ya, it looks much better than 2 years ago!! We went to the Detroit Institute of Art that's the 4th biggest museum in the States (after the met in NY, the one in DC, the one in Chicago..) and it was very pretty: we saw some picassos, 2 van goghs, a rembrandt and oh yeah... This museum is particularly famous 'cuz in the thirties Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo lived in Detroit and he did some murals in what it was, at that time, one of the museum's garden. Now it's a separate room and it looks just like sth else... Actually, I've never seen anything like that (I saw them in my previous visit to Michigan and I thought it'd be cool to do it again). My mom really liked it too.. she couldn't believe how big the building was (sad story, it's not the same back in Cordoba). Then we headed to Belle Island that's a real island on the Detroit river where people go jogging, biking.. they do picnics, whatever!. There you can get a nice view of both Detroit and Windsor. Funny thing about this Canadian city: it's right across from Detroit but what's interesting is the fact that it's the only place of the US that you have to head South in order to go to Canada.. fun, huh?

Well I guess that's pretty much all I did today (the rest is the same routine) So... I'll see you later (and people from Cordoba, in 5 days!)

This weekend my mom, aunt and me took a road trip to where my cousins and kids live... it's about 2.30hrs away from here, but it's very easy to get there.. just get on a highway and after like 140 miles u are there! The town is lovely... there are all this huge houses from the 1930's and it's very quiet.. full of children! We went for ice-cream to this store that was soo cute!!! Anyway, this was it.. fun fun!! it was great to get out of here and just do nothing!

Today that's a Sunday it's 4 months since the accident occurred. Both Nadav and Eial came over to visit and brought the children along.. I hadn't seen the twins for a year and a half and little Maya for 2. So that's pretty much it of what I did today... I took a shower, had breakfast and off we went and then we had lunch at a sushi place we had gone the last time I came to visit. After that we came back to the house and everybody went for a nap, but I took the camera to the backyard and took some pics too.. I promise more of them in the future, I'm just very lazy!!! Then we where back in the hospital and now we've just come back.. I'm planning to do nothing! Tomorrow it's gonna be a big day, I'm not sure why but you always leave all the big plans for Monday... e.g. "I'm going back on the diet on Monday" LOL... For me it's back to school! I have to start doing things or I'll be in some serious trouble next month! So that's it, hope to hear from you..

Hi there! U know what? I have checked the statistics and I have had 2810 visitors in my space, I'm so glad!!! Today I'm very tired so this entry won't be long... I'm still dealing with the embassy and their drama and it makes me feel exhausted (besides that I went to school and also worked) so... I have reservations to fly on Sep 7th, let's see how that goes (I'd be leaving my house on the 3rd and pit-stopping in Buenos Aires until the 7th to finish any visa problem)

 

Here there are some pictures from last Saturday night when two of the girls from karmya celebrated their 21st and 20th birthday. It was a really fun night, althought I hated the nightcblub, it was over crowded and the music sucked...
